Reasons That Keep Out Volunteers From Applying To A Role
If the apply button is not working it is better to troubleshoot the issues by checking the reason that may be causing it. There could be technical glitches that prevent the “Apply” button from working. There are a number of reasons that applicants face when applying for roles, here are some of them;
1. No SkilledUp Life Account or Not Logged In
Sometimes it may happen that in applying for the role you are not logged in to the SkilledUp Life profile. So to avoid these challenges make sure you have created your SkilledUp Life profile and you are logged in at the moment you are applying to your role.
2. Incomplete SkilledUp Life Volunteer Profile
Having your profile fully completed helps companies make informed decisions when considering you as a volunteer. As a volunteer, in order to be able to apply for a role, your profile needs to be at least 70% complete. Once your profile is completely updated or is more than 70% complete, you can look for roles that you can apply for and volunteer on.
3. Closed Volunteer Opportunity
SkilledUp Life is a platform that has a wide range of volunteers. If you are applying for a role, make sure that the role that you are applying for is still active and receiving more applications. If the role that you are trying to apply for has already been closed or has reached its closing date, then you will not be able to apply. A good way to know this would be to check through the description. On a mobile device, you should scroll to the bottom of the page to see if the role is still active. On a PC, you should look on the right-hand side of your screen, you should find the information panel – here you can see the status of the opportunity.
In order for your application to a volunteer opportunity to go through, it is important to ensure the basic requirements have been fulfilled. The SkilledUp Life platform does not require volunteers to fill out forms again and again for each opportunity. Rather you only need to ensure your profile is up to the set threshold that is expected before you can apply – this threshold is 70%.
Having sufficient experience is a key requirement to securing paid jobs, unfortunately, a lot of people do not have experience as would be required by many organizations – This is where SkilledUp Life comes in.
