How can I protect my IP?

You should have sufficient safeguards in place to protect Intellectual Property (IP). We have mentioned IP in the sample Volunteer Agreement provided. If you are concerned about IP leakage, then it’s best to restrict such activities to Volunteers. Remember, you cannot sue Volunteers.

We suggest you issue Volunteers a company email address and cancel it immediately after the end of the Volunteer term. Make sure Volunteers create documents, spreadsheets, etc using the company email. The same goes for use of software tools. This way, you have control over the IP created and better protection of it’s leakage.
