About Wavebox

Wavebox is a private and fully customizable browser built on Chromium.  Aimed at professionals and teams, Wavebox facilitates fast and focused access to business-critical SaaS tools and websites by automating manual tasks and speeding up workflows. Productivity features include multi-account sign-in, tab organization and management, keyword search, document workspaces, remote working tools, and Brainbox – a ChatGPT AI browser assistant.

About the Opportunity

The HR volunteer will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with Wavebox’s goals. They will assist in organizational development initiatives and ensure effective performance and talent management. The volunteer will engage and retain volunteers, utilize HR analytics to drive decision-making, oversee recruitment processes, and provide a seamless onboarding and off-boarding experience for all volunteers.

Volunteer Activities

Working with our CEO and Human Resource Team, your volunteer role includes:

  • Collaborate with leadership to create and execute an effective HR strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and values.
  • Develop and implement programs that support organizational development, volunteer engagement, and retention, ensuring that volunteers are well supported and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to Team Leads on performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions where necessary.
  • Work with Team Leads to identify skills gaps and create training and development plans to support talent management and career development.
  • Conduct HR analytics and provide insights to management to make informed decisions about people management.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying recruitment needs to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new volunteers, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved.
  • You have significant freedom to evolve within your role. Challenge the existing systems and processes and continually improve them.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Undergraduate degree or similar education in HR.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the industry and the company’s recruitment needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, with a results-oriented approach, and deliver on projects within the required timeframe.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and situations as they arise.
  • Comfortable working remotely and using online tools and software.

The HR Volunteer will be able to develop expertise in HR strategy development, organizational development, performance management, talent management, HR analytics, recruitment, and onboarding/off-boarding processes. In addition to these core HR skills, the volunteer will also enhance their communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills through interaction with team members and external stakeholders. By contributing to the success of a purpose-driven organization, the volunteer will gain a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, while also building their professional network and potentially opening up future career opportunities.
