About the Opportunity

SkilledUp Life is looking for a volunteer to join the Events Team. The volunteer should be someone who can take charge of organizing and promoting various events, including social media events, partnership events, and other company events.

Duration

  • 3 months ( 60 working days)
  • At least two hours per day
  • Part-time
  • Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy to promote SkilledUp Life’s mission and services.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for SkilledUp Life events to increase participation and engagement.
  • Plan, organize, and execute events for SkilledUp Life, including social media events, partnership events, and community events.
  • Collaborate with the SkilledUp Life team to create event content, promotion materials, and post-event analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, sponsors, and vendors to support SkilledUp Life’s events.
  • Build and maintain an engaged community of volunteers and supporters through social media and other communication channels.
  • Identify new opportunities for SkilledUp Life to engage with its community and build its brand.
  • Plan and execute social media events, partnership events, and other events that align with SkilledUp Life’s brand and goals.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and ensure maximum reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Develop post-event reports and analyze event performance to inform future events
  • Continuously research and identify new event opportunities to increase SkilledUp Life’s visibility and reach

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online marketing techniques.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.

Acquired Work Experience and Skills:

You will gain experience and skills toward a carrier in virtual event coordination and community management.  Good virtual events coordinators are highly sought after by fast-growing tech companies.
