About the Opportunity:

As a Video Content Creator/Editor Volunteer you will perform general video editing and creation responsibilities and other specific duties as outlined below.

Responsibilities:

Video Content Editing

  • Edit and assemble video content into a suitable, finished product ready for posting on every SkilledUp Life online platform.
  • Proofread and edit spelling, grammar, and syntax in voice-over scripts, subtitling, etc.
  • Ensure that video content is thoroughly vetted, meets the company or client’s needs, and follows our in-house style guide, before publication.
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
  • Create rough and final cuts
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
  • Organize, modify and update existing content.
  • Fact-check and verify content information and research.
  • Contribute new ideas for future publications.
  • Monitors user engagement, web traffic, and other KPIs.
  • Work closely with other content team members to ensure a seamless process.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.

Video Content Creation

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) for digital marketing purposes.
  • Come up with creative concepts for video ads and introduction snippets for our courses on the website.
  • Collaborate with different other content creation team members to create video content for brand partners and internal use.
  • Create video content to be used on multiple social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc).
  • Manage SkilledUp Life video library and evaluate analysis such as video performance and user feedback, in order to improve on deliverables.
  • Help with the prompt upload of audiovisual content to the website, if the need arises.
  • Work closely with other content team members to ensure a seamless process.
  • Contribute new ideas for future publications.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager and/or the CEO.

Skills and Requirement:

We desire a video content creator/ editor that has the following qualifications, experiences, and skills;.

  • A minimum of one year of experience as an editor, or a similar position.
  • Hands-on Experience with smartphones and traditional videography techniques
  • Good knowledge about how social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn work.
  • Self- Motivated and customer-focused
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Highly organized.
  • Time management skills.
  •  Conversant with video making and editing tools like; Canva, Vimeo, InShot, Instagram Reels, etc.

Duration: 

  • Ability to commit 2-3 hours per day.
  • 3 months duration.( 60 working days)
  • Remote
