About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Sales and Customer Acquisition Volunteer to help us reach out to potential customers (tech startups) and close sales (sign up to a subscription plan). The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers through outbound and inbound inquiries. This opportunity is suited for anyone who wants to learn and practice sales skills. Perhaps you are in marketing and have always wanted to move to sales, but never had the opportunity. Now you can try it out without jeopardizing your current job.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English Language – both written and spoken.
  • Undergraduate degree or similar education.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent persuasion skills.
  • Ability to be responsive within a remote work setting.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience is preferred but not a must.
  • Dabbling with (previous experience) sales is a big plus.
  • Excellent record keeping.
  • Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills, including prioritizing, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.

Volunteer Activities:

Working with the Head of Sales and Marketing, your Volunteer role will include all or a selection of:

  • Prospecting – identifying tech startups and reaching out to decision-makers.
  • Communicate ideas and solutions effectively in order to maintain positive, ongoing business relationships and customer service.
  • Selling our product and service.
  • Converting
  • Document all activities.
  • Provide Team Leads with timely updates.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Post-sales support including handing over to the support team.

You have significant freedom to evolve within your role. Challenge the existing systems and processes and continually improve them. You will gain experience and skills toward a career in Sales & Customer Acquisition. You will also gain demonstrable evidence that could help you with career prospects.
