About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic research volunteer to build a comprehensive picture of the Nigerian tech startup ecosystem. As a Researcher, you will play a crucial role in capturing details of accelerators, investors and tech companies, ultimately assisting us in identifying potential partners and opportunities in the region. You would commence by sifting through the data collected by three internal teams and consolidating them first. You would also publish a report on “Review of Nigerian Tech Startup Ecosystem”. You will be joining the Sales Team and collaborating closely with our Founder & CEO.

Duration

• 3 months  (60 volunteer days)
• Part-time (can render at least 2 to 3 hours per day)
• Remote

Volunteer Activities

• Consolidate all data collected on the Nigerian tech startup ecosystem, which include accelerators, investors, tech companies and key players.
• Conduct in-depth research to capture any missing data.
• Review existing published reports and media coverages.
• Compile information on funding rounds and notable success stories.
• Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the Nigerian tech startup ecosystem.
• Qualify data collected on tech companies for introducing SkilledUp Life.
• Qualify data collected on accelerators for introducing SkilledUp Life.
• Prepare a report on the Nigerian Tech Startup Ecosystem for publication.

Our needs

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with market research tools and software is a plus.
• Previous experience in market analysis or research is preferred but not mandatory.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Previous experience in producing reports is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Nigerian tech startup landscape is a plus.
