About the Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic research volunteers to build a comprehensive picture of the world’s tech startup ecosystem. As a Researcher, you will play a crucial role in capturing details of accelerators, investors and tech companies, ultimately assisting us in identifying potential partners and opportunities in the country or region where you live. You would commence by sifting through any data we have already collected. If we have none, you would need to start this activity from scratch. You would also contribute to publishing reports and content writing. You will be joining the Research Team and collaborating closely with our Founder & CEO as well as the Head of Research.

Duration

• 3 months  (60 volunteer days)
• Part-time (can render at least 2 to 3 hours per day)
• Remote

Volunteer Activities

• Consolidate all data collected on the tech startup ecosystem of your country or region, which includes accelerators, investors, tech companies and key players.
• Conduct in-depth research to capture any missing data.
• Review existing published reports and media coverages.
• Compile information on funding rounds and notable success stories.
• Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the country or regional tech startup ecosystem.
• Qualify data collected on tech companies for introducing SkilledUp Life.
• Qualify data collected on accelerators for introducing SkilledUp Life.
• Help prepare a report on the Tech Startup Ecosystem for publication.
• Create content for the blog and social media of research findings.

Our needs

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with market research tools and software is a plus.
• Previous experience in market analysis or research is preferred but not mandatory.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Previous experience in producing reports is a plus.
• Knowledge of the tech startup landscape of your country and/or region is a plus.
