About the Opportunity

As an HR Assistant Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team with various administrative tasks and initiatives. This volunteer position offers valuable hands-on experience in HR processes, procedures, and practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrates a keen interest in human resources. The volunteer will be responsible for engaging and retaining volunteers, utilizing HR analytics to drive decision-making, overseeing performance management, succession planning, and ensuring a seamless on-boarding and off-boarding experience for all volunteers.

Duration

  • 3 months
  • Part-time (can render at least 2 to 3 hours per day)
  • Remote

Volunteer Activities

Working with our CEO and Human Resource Team, your volunteer role includes:

  • Assist in maintaining organized records and documentation within the Human Resources department.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee files and HR-related documents.
  • Engage and retain volunteers through effective communication and support.
  • Oversee performance management processes, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to address performance-related issues and implement improvement strategies.
  • Engage in succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure a seamless on-boarding experience for new volunteers, providing necessary information and support.
  • Manage off-boarding processes to ensure a positive transition for departing volunteers..

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or similar education in HR.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Enthusiasm for human resources and a strong interest in gaining hands-on experience.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Suite)
  • Ability to work independently, with a results-oriented approach, and deliver on projects within the required time frame
  • Comfortable working remotely.
