About the Opportunity

As a Newsletter and PR Volunteer at SkilledUp Life, you will play a crucial role in spreading awareness about our platform and the impactful work we do. You will have the opportunity to shape our brand image, enhance our online presence, and attract more talented individuals to join our community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about startups, social impact, and communications to contribute their skills in a flexible and remote volunteer role.

Activities:

• Create engaging and informative content for our monthly newsletter, highlighting success stories, featured startups, and volunteer spotlights.
• Develop and execute a strategic PR plan to increase SkilledUp Life’s visibility and reach.
• Write press releases, articles, and blog posts to share news, updates, and relevant stories.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement social media campaigns that align with PR initiatives.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze the effectiveness of PR efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media placements and partnerships.
• Conduct research on industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for SkilledUp Life’s PR activities.
• Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to create engaging content.
• Experience in newsletter creation and management is preferred.
• Familiarity with public relations practices and strategies.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in developing social media campaigns.
• Basic understanding of startup ecosystem and technology industry.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a remote team.

Duration: 

• Ability to commit 2-3 hours per day.
• 3 months duration.
