Hypothesis
Country-specific teams will speed up the growth of SkilledUp Life.
Country Chosen
I am selecting the Philippines to test this hypothesis. However, there is no scientific reason for selecting the Philippines.
Team Structure
The team has to be small and agile, yet be able to achieve results. The decision was taken to build a team of 4 as follows:
- Start with a Volunteer Acquisition Volunteer who would promote SkilledUp Life to potential Volunteers to attract them to our open Opportunities.
- Support Volunteer who would convince those coming from the Philippines to sign up, complete building their profiles and apply for our open Opportunities.
- HR Volunteer to sift through the applications, and pre-qualify, interview and onboard them.
- Customer Acquisition Volunteer to acquire tech startup customers from the Philippines so that we can offer them free talent from the Philippines and 91 other countries.
Starting Position
When we decided to test this hypothesis, we have already on-boarded above two teammates:
Together they will source the team members for Support and Customer Acquisition roles. I will update the progress as we move forward.
