Care Compass I Wellness App

Ironhack

04/15/2023 - 05/27/2023

Collaborated with an exceptional team at Ironhack to lead the design of a groundbreaking Wellness App. Our goal was to make a real impact on the well-being of individuals, with a particular focus on dementia care. Key Achievements: - Developed a Hi-Fi prototype that included user-friendly features like a seamless profile and goal setup. For instance, we ensured that users could effortlessly create profiles and set wellness goals, tailored to their specific needs. Conducted extensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis. This research uncovered a significant gap in the market. For example, we found that existing apps lacked an appealing user interface (UI) and poor user experience (UX). These pain points became the driving force behind our solution. - Created a comprehensive user persona that encapsulated the needs and challenges of our target audience. Our user persona struggled with a lack of knowledge about dementia, concerns about patient safety, and the challenge of balancing various responsibilities while providing care. This persona guided our design and features to directly address these issues. - Leveraged design thinking and ideation to transition from outlandish concepts to valuable ones. We employed techniques like the 'Crazy 8's' exercise to generate creative solutions. One of the ideas that emerged from this process was a personalized care plan for caretakers. This approach added substantial value to our app. - Conducted usability testing to gather valuable feedback and iterated our design based on user insights. For instance, through usability testing, we identified areas for improvement in our initial design, which led to a more user-friendly final product. - Established a compelling visual identity that conveyed guidance and support. We chose a color palette that incorporated calming blue tones to reflect a supportive and approachable atmosphere and tested the application of the palette through A/B testing

Key Achievements: - Enhanced Belle Cycles' online presence and brand credibility by designing an e-commerce website. - Identified Belle's main competitors and their unique selling points in the market. - Conducted user interviews to gather insights on user expectations for a bike seller's website. - Developed a user persona and user journey map to identify key pain points. - Defined problem statements for both the business and the user to guide the project. - Utilized ideation techniques to generate creative solutions, including the "Crazy 8's" technique. - Conducted A/B testing to refine the design, including experimenting with color palettes. - Integrated a chatbot to improve customer care and provide transparency. - Designed a visually engaging, user-friendly, and informative product page. - Created low-fidelity and mid-fidelity wireframes, followed by high-fidelity prototype for the happy path. - Employed a sophisticated and authentic color palette that aligned with Belle Cycles' brand attributes. - Prioritized clear communication and user testing throughout the project to iterate and refine the design.
