People in the Communication Team also known as Public Relations specialists, must support an organization’s external and internal communications strategy. They will draft and then disseminate publicity-related materials, while also addressing inquiries that are made by the media and public.

Editorial associates will support internal communications by creating unique and engaging content for various channels including mobile, daily news, company-wide e-newsletter, intranet, and others as needed.

What you will do:

You will work closely with the editorial team, attending weekly editorial meetings and writing weekly articles or news pieces.
You will gain valuable experience in CMS; implementing style guidelines; SEO; social media; and how media partnerships function.
This is an opportunity to participate in the editorial life of the start up in digital technology, and to receive editorial training of the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Working with our CEO and the Marketing Team Lead, your volunteer role includes:

• Content management – Reading and responding to articles on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse and 3D printing as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
• Compile and send Daily News, produced each weekday (including holidays).
• Manage day-to-day content updates. Ensure key tools and resources are functional and content is accurate, and moderate comments across channels.
• Closely track key developments across the company and industry to share the scoop with company executives, and regularly pitch ideas for new stories.
• Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling, original content for our channels.
• Editing on the level of line and structure.
• Experience with WordPress -Experience with social media tools Buffer and Canva -Creating engaging social media content
  Institutional relationships

Education and experience

–  High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
–  Experience in Journalist, communication or Marketing (preferred)
–  Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred)

Skills and requirements

–  Fluent in English (Mandatory), other languages welcome.
–  Undergraduate degree or similar education in Journalism, communication or Marketing.
–  Excellent communication skills.
–  Excellent record keeping.
–  Attention for details.
–  Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features
–  Self-starter with a strong commitment to driving results
–  Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment
–  Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
–  Access to a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
