About Me
I am looking for an opportunity to intern as a Data Scientist, Data or Business Analyst
I am a Certified Internal and Information Systems Auditor with experience delivering strategic processes that increase operational efficiency. Working with global brands in the Telecoms, Financial Services and FMCF sector; I have led and managed complex projects which have exposed me to the diversities of audit design, control implementation and risk management. As a professional, I demonstrate excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills that drive my abilities to lead and develop aspiring professionals within my niche.
I am currently a student of Data Science, studying at the University of Essex. I also completed a Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, and do have a Data Science Fellowship from Utiva.io.
I have BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting Second Class Division from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom and furthered my studies by obtaining an MBA from Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom. To define my specialism within the finance and business operations, I became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and an Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
I am currently looking for an opportunity to up my skills and deliver value while practising as a Data Scientist, which is a slight deviation from my previous work experiences in Internal Audit.
At my most recent job in Pagatech Nigeria, a FinTech mobile money operator, I was responsible for the implementation of best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit and regulatory policies to ensure transparency and seamless operational business processes. This required me to identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
I was also responsible for the control and project management of full audit cycles including risk management and control management to ensure operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance which also required the management of a variety of financial business stakeholders and their expectations through regular communication and reporting.
Some of my notable achievements include the management of an ERP project to enhance the Finance payables process. This has since delivered on business improvement objectives and upscaled activities within the process.
