Treasure Maloka
About Me
My name is Treasure Maloka from South Africa. I am currently in my last 3 months of law school and will graduate soon. I have been involved in a number of charity work including #YouBeforeMe where I held the position of Executive Manager and Head of Sponsorships. My responsibilities were to oversee the portfolios in the organisation and build relationships with potential sponsors as well as ensure that we have a flow of them. Furthermore, I volunteered at the career centre at my University where my main responsibility was to assist in the marketing. As a volunteer, I had to explain to students what the career centre does, which was to assist students with their career development. Therefore, it entailed that I had to understand career development myself to explain it properly. I was also a writing consultant at the University where I helped students reach the standard of academic writing at university level.
My favourite characteristics about myself is that I am quite resilient and when I need to do something, I want to make sure that not only do I do it in the most effective and efficient way, but also showing a great amount of passion and effort towards it. Finally, I am a good team player. I do not focus on self, but more on how I can do my job greatly for the overall success of the team.
I chose to volunteer at skilleduplife so that I can learn valuable skills such as administration, time management, organisation, and marketing as those are valuable skills to have in the law career.
