I’m Samuel, a User Experience Designer and passionate advocate for accessibility. I am a team player because I believe in harnessing the strength of various team members for continued success.

I enjoy tackling user challenges and designing impactful solutions that have a meaningful and positive impact on both users and businesses. My educational background includes a blend of Business Management in my Bachelor’s and User Experience Design in my Master’s.

I have experiences working across leading brands in the Healthcare and Retail sectors in the United Kingdom.

My technical skills cuts across key areas in UX like, user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, communication, and accessibility

When I am not solving design issues, I volunteer at my local church as a social media executive and video editor. Additionally, I manage the operations of my YouTube channel, which offers travel insights to various parts of the world.

This program provided in-depth theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience in designing, developing, and evaluating digital products across a range of platforms with a strong emphasis on developing professional technical skills. At JD Sports, I worked on projects like Taggstar social proof messaging for size? and JD UK mobile sites, Google Shopping product recommendations, JD UK app onboarding, 'viewed search bar execution' analysis, and 'trending and suggested search' design. Responsibilities • Analysed the qualitative data gathered from users on the current Taggstar social proof messaging design execution on size? and JD UK mobile sites and presented findings to stakeholders. • Utilized user research findings to develop innovative Taggstar social proof messaging design solutions for both size? and JD UK mobile sites with approval from teammates. • Crafted effective design solutions for enhancing the user experience of JD Sports’ Google Shopping product recommendation feature for both mobile and web platforms. • Created a user-friendly design solution for the onboarding experience of the JD UK app with approval from key stakeholders. • Analysed qualitative data on a product feature 'viewed search bar execution' • Designed a user-friendly solution for the 'trending and suggested search' feature of the JD UK mobile site.

During my time at JG Poole & Co, I undertook the re-design of the website application to present the firm as a modern and innovative law practice. The key focus of the project was to design an easy-to-use interactive website mock-up that reflects the ethos and image of JG Poole & Co. Responsibilities • Gathered in-depth insights into users’ needs and motivations to deliver a positive experience. • Managed the full project lifecycle from client brief through to concept, iterations and build. • Gathered project goals and requirements. • Restructured the information architecture of the website. • Developed paper sketches and prototypes around business and customer needs.

NHS Digital

During my time at NHS Digital, I actively participated as a team member in conducting research, analysis, and user testing for the development of the 'Find Symptoms Content' function. Responsibilities • Collaborated with teammates and took notes in 5 usability test sessions which helped to inform design solution. • Witnessed a couple of multi-disciplinary teams sketch, design, and implement new ideas on ‘Find Symptoms Content’ • Created 4 Tree Testing scenarios to properly label and structure the content of a sample prototype website. • Evaluated and Analysed 39 participant responses which helped to understand user needs and influence design solution on the website. • Collaborated with 2 Interaction Designers in the ideation process of a flu vaccination booking platform.
