About Me

My educational background is in both Business and Social Communication, which are degrees that helped me develop an understanding of the market and companies as a whole. Additionally, English and Writing have always been a significant part of who I am and, thus, a great motivator. Those interests led me to become not only a Business and Conversational English Teacher, helping students reach their full potential and chase after their dreams, but also a screenwriter for a small documentary production studio in Brazil. In fact, I moved to Lisbon to join a post-graduation course in Storytelling at ESCS.

Nonetheless, the pandemic was a pivotal moment for me. Studying has always been a passion for me, and as I revisited some of my interests and needs, I rediscovered my eagerness for problem-solving through technology. That led me to complete a few courses, such as FrontEnd Formation and Web Accessibility on Alura, the most prominent Brazilian tech learning platform.

From there, I was ready to commit to a FullStack boot camp at Kenzie Academy, where I have been reaching excellent results. The boot camp has allowed me to sharpen my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills and learn new stacks like React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, Python, and Django.

Additionally, my results at Kenzie Academy earned me part-time work as a web development peer coach. I assisted other students in developing and debugging their code, improving my teamwork skills.  It was an excellent opportunity to grow as a professional, and now I am ready to take on my first position as a junior front-end developer.
