Richard Ayisi
About Me
Hello there! My name is Richard Ayisi. Welcome to my profile. Let’s quickly jump in, shall we?
I am an amiable individual with a keen desire to start a career in Finance. My ambition is to qualify as a Chartered Management Accountant which is why I am studying with CIMA. Having acquired some knowledge in budgeting, costing, variance reporting, I hope to bring more of such skills and proficiency to bear on the job thus helping the hiring organization become more profitable, delivering & exceeding customers’ expectations and maximizing shareholders’ wealth.
I am passionate about helping drive business success in this ever-changing world. With the advent of new technologies constantly changing how we live and work, I seek to learn more and leverage how technology when fused with the finance function can drive up performance and facilitate development, while also partnering with other functions to achieve the organization’s overall objectives.
I have skills and abilities from my studies at school including analytical reasoning, attention to detail, due diligence, time management and collaboration skills. With studying CIMA, I developed some technical skills in the areas of financial analysis, costing, and break-even analysis to improve business decision-making and ensure sound financial control, gaining knowledge and appreciation for ensuring that financial statement preparation and reporting comply with International Financial Reporting Standards.
My employment at Mon-Tran led to my secondment to Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Ecobank briefly and at different times. At SCB, I was able to effectively validate over 700 vouchers which were duly passed by the Internal Auditors during their internal checks. In Ecobank, as an Operations Officer, I quickly took over the responsibility for managing Mutual Funds by understudying its duties in less than 3 days and effectively performed that relieving duty for a month longer than was initially scheduled.
You will find that I have included two extra categories of interest – Admin and Business development. These are grey areas for me. However, I am a fast learner and look to delve into other areas outside finance, for purposes of gaining experience. So, feel free to engage me in those and I will do my very best to deliver.
