About Me
Good day, My name is Nneka and I am an experienced marketing professional with specific experience in delivering brand and impact projects across multiple countries. I have experience in several roles across different industries including customer, brand, business, product and program management.
I hold a CIM certificate in Marketing ana I am an AIPMM Certified Product Manager. I was previously responsible for managing marketing, media, loyalty and PR activities for British Airways in 14 countries across Africa. This role involved working with agencies and partner teams to collaboratively design and launch products, promotional campaigns, as well as internal employee marketing initiatives – often simultaneously across multiple markets. When I worked at Union Bank, I led the Brand team which included the design studio, brand and events teams and I was responsible for adaptation and assurance of the new Union Bank brand across multiple touchpoints. I also led the cross-functional product development team at Virgin Nigeria to develop and deploy electronic payment solutions to reduce the dependence on third party travel agents by >40% within 18 months.
I currently serve as the Product Manager at a fintech where I am responsible for defining product requirements including writing epics and user stories, prioritizing the development of product features, backlog iteration and establishing acceptance test criteria across our suite of omnichannel merchant ecommerce, loyalty and fintech solutions. I occasionally also join the sales team in meetings with new clients to understand requirements in the event that bespoke iterations need to be made to any existing solutions in order to meet specific needs of the customer.
In another role as the Program Manager of Nigeria’s national network of innovation hubs, my team and I are responsible for developing and deploying projects and programs targetted at our growing community of over 160 innovation, tech, entrepreneurship and impact Hubs across Nigeria. These programs include entrepreneurship, employability and impact programs targetted at youth, women and Persons with Disabilities. Previously, I was responsible for policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement and opportunity brokering for Hubs and their startups, and for actively driving collaborations among Hubs, development partners, public sector, academia, corporates, investors and other Hub networks across Africa.
With my combination of skills, experience and personality, I look forward to supporting international forward looking startups in marketing, product and project management roles to enable me pivot into global tech roles within the next 18 months.
Thank you for your time and do enjoy the rest of your day. Best regards, Nneka Ukay
