About Me

Mowbray Jones Nelson, Esq. is a dynamic individual with a passion for international human rights law, international trade law, advocacy, and international relations. His journey includes notable roles at AB & David Africa, Legal Aid Commission Ghana, and Advocates for Community Alternatives NGO and LAWSMITHS.
Mowbray is recognized for his excellent leadership roles as President of the GIMPA Debate Society and President of the National Union of Anglican Students at Mfantsipim. His involvement in various roles, from class counselor to treasurer of the GIMPA Christian Fellowship, underscores his commitment to service.

He is also recognized for his volunteer work with the Akurase Mpuntuo Foundation.

A man of integrity, Mowbray has received accolades such as the 2022 Ecobank Integrity Award. A distinguished writer and orator, he is noted a contributing author to the American Bar Association Year in Review 2022. His legal prowess is evident through victories in international moot court competitions, including the Inaugural Africa Gender Equality Moot Court Competition.

Mowbray’s educational background spans from Liliput Nursery to earning a Bachelor of Laws at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and progressing to the Ghana School of Law. Beyond academics, he’s a skilled communicator, debater, and poet.
