Dear Visitor,
I’m Mai, an aspiring UX writer who wants to capture the user by words. I was first introduced to this field which was by accident, yet I fell for it.
My Story
As I was a content writer and SEO specialist back then attempting to figure why people hate the website at hand and get out so quickly (high bounce rate) as GSC and GA showed me. I knew after a thorough research that it was not structured right (the sitemap) and the user flow was horrible. Every wording of that experience was out of place.
I knew then it’s time for me to stop talking to the machine and get in touch with people. As a true wordsmith, I found that the most humane way to harness my writing craftis UX writing. Since then, I kept abreast with the infinite universe of UX via NN/group, Uxcel, Medium and M3 Design.
My Process: I always start with UX research, defining flows in the experience, personas, best information architecture (sitemaps and user flows), journey maps, tone mapping, and content audits, while ongoingly updating content style guides.

Grade A- or Very Good // I studied academic writing, essay writing, technical writing and how to manipulate tones, voices and styles. I studied all fields of linguistics: phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics. I studied various fields of translation in different genres.
