About Me

I am Yasas Gamagedara from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agricultural Technology and Management, majoring in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, with second class honours in the year 2016, from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.  Soon after completing my bachelors’ degree, I started my Master’s degree (M.Sc.) at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. Further, I am following a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK since March 2020.

I started my professional career as an assistant consultant in Waste to Energy Technologies Limited, a consultancy firm that offers consultancy and design services to the government and private sector on waste management, environment management, and pollution control. I have also worked for the international consultancy company EX Research Institute, based in Tokyo, Japan for establishing a resource recovery, material recycling system in Ratnapura and feasibility study on the construction of a system for collection, treatment of used fluorocarbons.

I bring a combination of strong academic background and practical industrial experience along with immense interest in a fascinating area of novel research. My experience with analytical procedures, experimental design approaches, ability to design experimental setup, good data analytics ability, and excellent communication skills will make me a worthy researcher.
