Senior Product Designer

I currently work with the Product and Engineering Team at Propine to manage existing designs and make appropriate updates where necessary. The first step to this was an overhaul and redesign of our current products beginning with a redesigned design system which I led, as well as subsequent usability tests to review existing product flows. These changes have led to an increase in customer retention and onboarding.

Designed key modules for our in-house super-admin product, such as stock inventory management, customer directories and logistics management resulting in increased efficiency in handling and tracking customer orders. Designed value added services (insurance and bill payments features) for already existing e-commerce products. Helped extend the design system by introducing carefully crafted components that worked well across web and mobile. I solved design problems from initial concepts through to development and management at Sabi. In collaboration with engineering, product management and data, we created products that are incredibly easy to use, yet visually appealing, for users across Nigeria, Kenya and South-Africa. There was also constant analysis of users insights to understand pain points and proffer and deliver design solutions.

Led the redesign of the Lumi rewards app which led to over 100,000 signups within first six months after launch with over 80,000 of those new users remaining active. Managed the development and maintenance of the design system by introducing and designing components and style guides for both mobile and web interfaces. Led design for all current company products from user research to establishing design requirements and eventually producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual designs and prototypes. I also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure creation and delivery of tailored experiences for our users.

Designed Kuuzza, a decentralised open inventory platform where any user can sign up and become a seller for free, without having any products or dealing with logistics. Initiated key user research sprints which helped to improve overall user experience and brand acceptance, based on findings, eventually resulting in increased revenue. Designed functional, user-friendly digital products and channels, from scratch, to actual live applications. I also designed new features for existing company products and was involved in general visual design for product and media.
