Responsible for creating communications content on behalf of the organization. Write press releases, develop web content, create social media posts and produce project media content. Campaign analytics and maintain digital media archives. Develop, coordinate and monitor an effective HFH Malawi’s Volunteer Programme in Malawi. Develop and apply strategies, policies and practical application for risk mitigation to provide positive customer service to HFH Malawi’s volunteers, their sending institutions and local hosting networks and be the key link between volunteers and HFH Malawi
Disaster Response and Risk Reduction Officer

• Plan and implement District disaster risk reduction project activities for HFH Malawi with close coordination with the government Department of Disaster, in conformity with national objectives stipulated under the National Disaster Management Plan and its key priorities. • Work with technical specialists in the planning, administration, and land use sectors to devise appropriate strategies for the implementation of local disaster risk reduction measures. • Meaningfully engage community-based stakeholders, including civil society and communities into risk-sensitive planning processes. • Support and/or manage field teams for effective implementation in targeted areas with key local level stakeholders. Provide technical support. • Undertake budget management and periodical project reviews. • Liaise with internal and external counterparts to ensure effective collaboration, monitor ongoing projects effective results. • Lead on the development of quality narrative reports, proposals, and communication materials to highlights strategies, activity implementation and results, and lessons learnt.

Development of HFHM strategies for scaling up WASH activities, liaison with key stakeholders in HFHM project areas and capacity building of local communities, staff management.
