SkilledUp Life brings together over 61,500 skilled Volunteers from 147 countries looking to gain more experience and skills with cash-starved Tech Founders that require Volunteers to survive and grow their tech startups due to their inability to hire paid talent.

About the Opportunity

We have embarked on a journey of building Version 2 of SkilledUp Life after having operated our Minimum Viable Product for 4 years. Tech stack includes:

• Front-end: Vue.js
• Database: MariaDB
• Hosting environment: AWS EC2 + S3

We are looking for Vue.js front-end developers. Our CEO functions as the Product Owner and the current product team includes Deputy Head of Product, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Back-end developers, Front-end developers and QA.

Our needs

• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• Good communication, reporting and report keeping skills.
• An undergraduate degree or similar education in Software Engineering is preferred but we are open to self-learned Volunteers.
• At least 6 months of experience in Vue.js.
• Demonstrable previous experience in the development of web applications.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript with the ability to create dynamic, responsive web interfaces.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect front-end elements with back-end services.
• Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices for collaborative development.
• Knowledge and experience of Tailwind CSS to ensure modern, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Self-learner and ability to execute tasks without any supervision.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
• Attention to detail.

Activities:

Working with our CEO and the product team, your Volunteer role includes but is not limited to:

• Progress the development of the web application.
• Daily commits.
• Test fully.
• Clear bugs identified.
• Refined based on user feedback.
