About the Opportunity

We need a strong HR function to support rapid recruitment, onboarding, engagement and people operations. We are looking for an HR Volunteer to help rebuild and scale the team, as well as establish the foundations of a dedicated HR function.

Opportunity Description:

We are seeking a motivated HR Volunteer to help build Deal Lite’s people operations from the ground up. You will play a critical role in scaling the team, shaping HR processes, and contributing directly to the company’s growth strategy. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a tech startup in HR and team building.

Volunteer Activities:

• Assist with recruitment, including posting roles, screening candidates and scheduling interviews.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires.
• Develop HR policies, processes and internal documentation.
• Assist with team engagement initiatives, performance management and culture-building activities.
• Help establish the HR team structure, including defining roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain HR records and ensure compliance.

Experience and Skills Gained:

• Hands-on experience in scaling a startup team from 2 to 20 employees.
• Practical knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, onboarding and policy creation.
• Insight into building and structuring an HR function in a growing company.
• Exposure to employee engagement, performance management and team culture initiatives.
• Development of organisational, leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
