About Me

My name is Naigaga Sumayyah Shamilla, and I am a dedicated, results-driven professional with over five years of experience in customer service, sales, and contact center operations. Since 2015, I have worked with Africell Uganda, where I developed strong expertise in handling customer queries, sales, data support, and training new team members. My ability to resolve issues efficiently, achieve and exceed sales targets, and maintain excellent customer relationships has been central to my career growth.

With a Diploma in Computer Science, I bring strong technical skills—including MS Office, database management, and basic programming—as well as interpersonal abilities, conflict resolution skills, and a proven capacity to work well under pressure. To further build my technical knowledge, I have completed several professional certifications, including Introduction to Machine Learning (Stanford/Coursera), Google’s Introduction to Responsible AI, Python Basics, Supervised Machine Learning and Classification, and Using Scikit-Learn to Solve Regression Problems. These courses have strengthened my foundation in data-driven thinking and problem-solving.

Looking ahead, my aspiration is to transition into the product management space, where I can combine my deep customer service experience with my growing technical expertise. Having worked directly with customers for several years, I understand user needs, pain points, and feedback loops—skills that are highly transferrable to building customer-focused products and driving innovation.

My ideal volunteer opportunity would be one where I can leverage both my customer engagement background and my emerging technical knowledge—such as supporting digital literacy initiatives, contributing to tech-based community projects, or gaining exposure to product development processes.
