About Me
I am an ex-pat mom living abroad since 2021. During the pandemic, my husband and I decided to start a new life with new challenges. Moving abroad was the best decision that I made. Three years later, I can safely say that it gave me an opportunity to reinvent myself. I was working as Clinical Psychologist in São Paulo, Brazil, but I felt that I was done doing that, because I wasn’t feeling happy working, or doing my marketing and I started to organize my thoughts and I remember my old dreamed as a student to being recruiter then I decided to take the first step to change the path of my career, so I got my MBA in HR at São Paulo University.
As a psychologist I needed to develop skills such as sales, entrepreneur mindset, marketing, set priorities, organize, communicate, build networks and all these skills I used in my experience in HR on my first job in my career in 2014 and when I moved to Portugal to work in CBT.
My first experience was in 2014 when I worked as an assistant in HR in Brazil at CPqD, which is a large Tech Company where I was responsible for the internship program. My tasks included applying tests, reviewing them, doing follow-ups, dealing with people and organizational culture, and onboarding. As a huge company, it was important to make all people feel included. There were some workers with physical disabilities, for example, so my challenge was to understand how to make the company better for them, such as if we needed to remodel some buildings and facilities and if they felt included in their teams. I got great feedback from PwD and my manager.
When I moved to Portugal I started searching for jobs where I can learn and grow on this new path that I dreamed of. So I joined Cross Border Talent in December of 2021 as an International Talent Acquisition. It was a remote position where I learned to work independently, and set priorities. My tasks were: creating job posts, sourcing candidates abroad, approaching potential candidates, interviewing, selling the opportunity, and doing follow-up processes with my client and candidates. My challenge there was to source proactively without a paid platform such as LinkedIn or Indeed, but I improved with skills such as the Boolean technique, Google Searching. As I am good with networking and proactively making contacts, I have good access to recruiters and people I can sell the position to. The hardest part in this vacancy is to sell positions to bring Italian to Portugal, and I could do it!
When I moved to the Netherlands in 2022, I was pregnant, so I focused on my studies in the Netherlands. At the moment, I am searching for a company where I can develop my career, and where I can grow as a professional. The most important aspect is that the company’s mission is aligned with the values that I possess, such as sustainability and innovation.
