Level of unemployment

This is based on a response I provided to a person on Indie Hackers.

The strange thing with the job market is that on one end, companies complain about the lack of good candidates and on the other end, good candidates cannot find best-fit jobs for whatever reason.

Whilst we do not provide jobs at SkilledUp Life, we provide Experience and Skills to improve career prospects.

If you have good Experience, yet for whatever reason, are struggling to land a job. I can suggest the following:

  • Sign up with us and seek additional Experiences, either to enhance the current skillset or in another area.
  • This will also demonstrate that you have been proactive whilst job hunting.
  • We have case studies where this has worked.

Please note you cannot earn through us, gain benefits in kind, and no promises are made on paid work after the Volunteer Term ends.

The Volunteer Term could be as low as 1 hr per day for 3 months. The Term could help to gain:

  • More Experience and Skills in the same area.
  • Gain additional Experience and Skills to advance your current skillset, e.g. you have HR Experience but lacks recruitment Experience.
  • Gain international Experience.
  • Gain soft skills you might lack, e.g. increase level of professionalism, collaboration skills, leadership skills, etc.
