Do I pay for Volunteers in addition to the subscription?
Absolutely not. Once subscribed, Volunteers are completely free. Your subscription covers publishing Volunteer Opportunities, dashboard access and support. You are not allowed to offer payments or benefits in kind to Volunteers, or make promises of future paid work during recruitment or volunteering.
Is there a free plan?
No. You need to select a pricing plan, subscribe and build your company profile first, before you can post Volunteer Opportunities.
Is there a free trial?
No. SkilledUp Life is not a standard software product, it is a Human Capital Platform as we deal with humans. It takes time to understand how to leverage our skilled Volunteers. A free trial would disappoint companies who do not take that time, so we would rather work with founders who see the glass half full and understand the potential benefit. SkilledUp Lifers also are not Freelancers, Contractors or Interns; they want to be part of your team to gain maximum experience in return for helping you survive and grow.
Could any business sign up and subscribe?
No. Only tech companies building scalable digital products can benefit from SkilledUp Life. eCommerce companies and marketplaces are allowed. If a business is developing a scalable digital product it qualifies; a service business does not.
What businesses are excluded?
Service businesses including consultancies and agencies such as digital marketing, software development and digital transformation companies do not qualify. Manufacturing and engineering companies are excluded as well. If in doubt, please ask before signing up and subscribing.
When does the subscription start?
Your subscription starts immediately after you select a pricing plan and subscribe. You need to complete your company profile before you can post Volunteer Opportunities.
Can the subscription be cancelled any time?
Yes. After the end of the current subscription period (month or year, depending on the plan you chose), no further payments will be taken once you have cancelled.
Do you refund?
No, we do not offer refunds. You can always unsubscribe and no further payments will be taken.
Can I start without signing a Volunteer Agreement?
No. After successfully recruiting a Volunteer, no activity should take place before both parties sign a Volunteer Agreement covering terms of engagement, IP and non-disclosure.
Can I sign up without a budget?
You can, but we highly recommend you only sign up if you have a budget to subscribe today. If not, it is best not to sign up and create a company account yet.
I signed up but cannot proceed beyond the pricing plans?
You can only proceed after you have selected a pricing plan and subscribed. If you are not ready to subscribe today or within the next few days, please do not sign up.
Can I access my Dashboard after my subscription expires?
No. You need an active subscription to access your Dashboard. If it expires, simply resubscribe to regain access.
What is a Volunteer Term?
Up to a maximum of 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, for 60 Volunteer Days over a 3 month Volunteer Agreement.
