    No. Only tech companies who are building scalable digital products can benefit from SkilledUp Life. e.g. Deal Lite qualifies as its developing a scalable digital product but Techcelerate does not, as its a service business. eCommerce companies and marketplaces are allowed.

    Service businesses including consultancies, agencies such as digital marketing, software development and digital transformation companies do not qualify for our service. Manufacturing and engineering companies are excluded as well.

    No. You need to select a pricing plan, subscribe and build your company profile first before you can post Volunteer Opportunities.

    No. SkilledUp Life is not your standard software product. It’s a Human Capital Platform as we deal with humans. It takes time to understand how to leverage our skilled Volunteers (SkilledUp Lifers).

    If we offered a free trial it will end up disappointing many companies as they would not take the time necessary to understand how SkilledUp Life operates. We would rather work with companies who understand the potential benefit we provide, i.e. those who sees glass half full instead of half empty.

    Secondly, SkilledUp Lifers aren’t the same as Freelancers, Contractors or Interns. They want to be part of your team to gain the maximum experience in return for helping you to survive and grow your tech company.

    Subscription starts immediately after you select a pricing plan and subscribe. You need to ensure you complete the company profile creation before you can post Volunteer Opportunities.

    Yes. After the end of the current month or the year, depending on the subscription plan you have chosen, no further payments will be taken after you have cancelled the subscription.

    No, you cannot. You need to resubscribe to access your Dashboard.

    No, we do not offer refunds. You can always unsubscribe and no further payments will be taken.

    Certainly not. Once subscribed, Volunteers are completely free. Subscription is to publish Volunteer Opportunities, access Dashboard and get the help you need, i.e. you pay for us to operate SkilledUp Life, the service, but all the volunteer talent is free. You are not allowed to offer any payments or benefits in kind to Volunteers. You must not make promises of future paid work both during recruitment and volunteering.

    Up to a maximum of 3 hrs per day Monday to Friday for 60 Volunteer Days over a 3 month Volunteer Agreement.

    After successful recruitment of a Volunteer, no activity should take place before both parties sign the Volunteer Agreement.

    Volunteer Term requires you to commit a maximum of 3 hrs per day, Monday to Friday, for 60 Volunteer days over 3+ months.

    Yes, this is up to you and the Company. But each Term extension must be of equal length.

    Yes, all Volunteer Opportunities posted on SkilledUp Life are fully remote. 

    Yes, you can but we do not recommend it. If you join SkilledUp Life’s own team, you will not be allowed to volunteer for any of our customers during the Volunteer Term.

    No, you should not. The Volunteer Agreement is there to protect you and the Company. It covers how you would engage with the company, including the rules you must follow. Do not under any circumstances volunteer without signing the Volunteer Agreement. If the Company do not present a Volunteer Agreement for review and signing, walk away from volunteering for them. Please also let us know so that we can educate our customer of strict rules that they must follow in order to benefit from SkilledUp Life.

    Yes, you can, but this will not be looked kindly upon. 

    If you do not perform the tasks assigned to you and do not deliver the expected results, the Company may terminate the Volunteer Agreement.

    Depends on the Company, but we believe you can function as the second in charge of a tech startup, second only to the Founder & CEO.

    Anyone has the potential to join at the operational level and progress to management and leadership roles. Depends entirely on your commitment and ability to deliver outcomes and not just complete tasks.
