I went live with SkilledUp Life on 1st Aug 2020. There was only me at the beginning until Mithun joined me as first employee in November 2022.

By end of December 2022 (or sooner if possible), my role will change to:

  • Set vision and lead
  • Sales
  • Product
  • Operational support to team leaders

I need to focus a significant proportion of my time as soon as Sales are fixed to PRODUCT. Our Product has not evolved since the day we went live and we still live with the bugs from those days. This cannot go on forever and I must release my own time from other duties to focus on the Product.

Our own team is now 40+ which includes 5 employees

  • Me – Leadership, Sales, Product and Operational oversight.
  • Mithun – Volunteers
  • Godwin – Africa
  • Cecilia – HR
  • Chidinma – Support (officially from 1st Dec)

Then Asinsala will rejoin mid-Dec to help me with the Product.

By 1st Jan, we must have a lean machine that just delivers results!

To achieve the above, we must have processes, systems and tools in place.

Our targets remain the same, by end of Jul 2023 we must achieve:

  1. 111,000 Volunteers
  2. 1000 tech startup customers

We have a steep mountain to climb. But getting organsied as we are doing now is important before we start climbing.
