Hello, my name is Wishma. I am keen to share my experience of SkilledUp Life with you!

Let me begin by introducing myself. I’m currently a business administration undergraduate student at SLIIT, Sri Lanka, in my second year. I also see myself as a future digital marketer. I also have no prior work experience.

My professional goal is to work in the marketing sector, but I am also interested in starting my own business. I realized that in order to achieve either of my goals, I would need to gain real-world practical experience. During that time, I discovered the SkilledUp Life opportunity on Xpress Opportunities and realized that it would be ideal for me to begin alongside my studies and help me achieve my goals.

I was volunteering with the Support team in Skilled Up Life, and some of the tasks I did include emailing volunteers to complete their profiles and talking to visitors on the site to assist them through the process of signing up and applying for opportunities. I also assisted in the development of the knowledge base, as well as the regular email applicants who come through Xpress Opportunities. In addition, I created a survey, which was then emailed to the SkilledUp Life companies.

I’m pleased to say that through SkilledUp Life, I’ve met new people, expanded my network, and been exposed to programs that I would not have had the opportunity to use otherwise. I also learned a lot about business and customer service, which I’m sure I’ll be able to put to use in the future.

Everyone on SkilledUp Life is wonderful, and I’m especially grateful to have met Manoj, from whom I learned a lot.
