Based on our experience to date, these are the three most important questions to ask from each of your volunteers and get the answers in writing via email before sending the Volunteer Agreement for signing:

  • Can you commit to 3 months?
  • How much time (hrs) can you commit per week?
  • How would you complete this project if you were offered a paid job elsewhere?

Volunteers aren’t employees. Volunteer Agreements aren’t enforceable. You need to ensure there is no operational impact on your business if a Volunteer suddenly terminates the agreement.
