“On October 20th 2025, I completed my volunteering journey with SkilledUp Life as a Front-End Developer — a role that taught me how to take ownership and bring structure to complex, unfinished work.
When I joined, several key modules were incomplete. I took the initiative to restore the Messaging Module, enabling smooth communication between Companies, Volunteers, and System Admins. I also completed the Account Settings Module, allowing users to manage their profiles and account information securely.
Along the way, I implemented automatic scroll-to-bottom and mark-as-read features to improve user experience. I also set up Continuous Integration (CI) with ESLint and Prettier, helping the team maintain cleaner, more consistent code across the project.
Through this experience, I became more confident in Vue 3 (Composition API), scalable architecture, and clean code practices — but even more importantly, I learned how to adapt quickly, solve problems independently, and deliver results that matter.

I completed a volunteer term as a frontend developer (ending April 30th, 2025), where I was part of the team rebuilding SkilledUp Life’s platform. I worked remotely with an international team of volunteers including other frontend developers, backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product management.
Key Learning Points:
Gained experience building an extensive component library including dashboards, navigation systems, data visualization charts, and configuration interfaces for multiple user roles (volunteers, companies, system administrators)
Learned to implement modern Vue 3 architecture with Pinia for state management and Vue Router for SPA functionality.
Developed skills in technical decision-making by providing strategic recommendations to company leadership.
Strengthened cross-functional collaboration abilities while working across frontend, backend, design, and product teams.
Technical Stack: Vue 3, Pinia, Vue Router, Laravel (backend integration).
This experience taught me how to work on greenfield projects, build scalable component architectures, and contribute meaningfully in a distributed team environment.
I can highly recommend anyone wanting to gain experience from a real-life, larger-scale project to complete a volunteering term.
